As the Lead Mentor of FIRST Robotics Team 8739, Redhawk Robotics, I'm dedicated to creating a dynamic environment for students. Drawing from my own FIRST experiences, I focus on strategic planning, fostering innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving. My role extends beyond robotics to instilling crucial life skills in our team, resulting in remarkable growth and success.     Hi, I'm Brianna Olfano. I am an English teacher at HS for CTEA. My main role on the Redhawk Robotics team is to proof read documents, chaperone trips, and encourage positivity and team spirit. I don't want to be a chicken, I don't want to be a duck- 'cause I'm proud to be a Redhawk.

    Hi I’m Mr. Chan, Physics teacher and mentor at High School for CTEA and mentor for RedHawks Robotics. I make sure their robot Physics.

    Hi, I'm Loriana and I am a school librarian at IS 238 and operations mentor for 8739. I help the students facilitate non-technical projects such as fundraising, social media, awards, and outreach.

    HEAD OF MANUFACTURING

    Hi, my name is Navid. Along with being a technical mentor for Redhawk, I’m also an alumnus and mentor for StuyPulse. I juggle my time between both teams, school and work. I try to leverage my experiences, both within FIRST and beyond, to help the students however I can, whether it be for CAD help or college advice.

    I am Onkar Dhillon, an alum of the team where I began as a founding member and continued until graduation. Where I am majoring in Computer Science and Physics at Adelphi University, specializing in Software Engineering and Cybersecurity. I serve as a Manufacturing and Controls mentor, although I offer assistance where it is needed.

    Hi! I'm Justin, software engineer at Bloomberg and programming mentor for 8739. I help the students write code so the robot can do stuff.

    Hi, I'm Jianna and I currently attend The Pennsylvania State University. I worked on media with Redhawk Robotics from 2021-2022. As an alum and mentor, I'm here to guide the kids with their social media stuff and share my experiences.

    Hi! I’m an electrical engineer for National Grid working in Offshore wind, and I am also an alumni from Robotigers. I use my real world experience to help the electronic students communicate efficiently and find innovative solutions to technical problems. I also help with advice for their careers, future, and different progression routes they can use FIRST as a platform to base off of.
